Bigjigs Toys Flying Scotsman Battery Operated Engine

20 GBP

One of the world's most famous locomotives, the Flying Scotsman was built in Doncaster in 1923 for £7,944 (over £491,000 in today's money). It became the first locomotive to reach 100mph and to travel the world. Our delightful Flying Scotsman train powers along a wooden rail track with ease - either as a solo engine or with carriages attached to its magnetic coupling. Painted in its iconic apple green shade (though it was once wartime black during WWII), this battery-operated train chugs along with authentic sounds at the press of a button. A wonderfully realistic addition to any wooden train set, it requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included). Magnetic couplings ensure compatibility with all other engines and carriages in the Bigjigs Rail range, as well as most major wooden railway brands. Conforms to current European safety standards.Age Suitability: 3 Years
