The MakitaDTD173Z Impact Driver features 4 mode electronic impact power selection plus 4 assist modes; 2 T-modes, wood mode and bolt mode; wood mode, bolt mode and T-mode suitable for thin and thick metal. Wood mode drives a screw with low speed rotation at first, then after starting to impact, the rotation speed increases and reaches maximum speed, ideal for tightening long screws in wood, bolt mode/reverse rotation auto-stop mode is ideal for loosening bolts and helps to prevent a bolt from falling off, T1 is designed for driving self-drilling screws into a thin metal including metal studs. The tool stops rotating soon after impact starts and T2 is designed for driving self-drilling screws into thick metal plate with a good finish. This mode helps to prevent the screws from breaking and stripping. The MakitaDTD173Z also features ananti-bit wobbling structure, quick mode switching buttonand memory function.
