The Falcon Cobalt Full Suspension 20inch bike has been designed for junior riders aged seven to nine years who want a great ride that combines style, comfort and performance. Unlike many other brands, Falcon have created their junior full suspension bikes specifically for younger riders with an uninterrupted suspension design that can accommodate a longer seat post to provide greater adjustment as the rider grows, unlike old fashioned Y frames. This thoughtful design allows more adjustment and results in a stronger frame and a smoother ride. The hi tensile steel frame is durable while the front and rear suspension systems add comfort when the terrain gets rough, with a soft spring rate suited to junior riders. The front fork and rear shock use springs chosen for younger riders to absorb bumps when riding off road. The MTB saddle with generous padding ensures comfort on longer rides. The six speed gearing is powered by a Shimano derailleur and Revoshift shifter for smooth gear changes without losing grip of the handlebars. The double sided chainwheel guard protects fingers and clothing and prevents the chain from slipping off. MTB style pedals offer firm grip and the soft compound handlebar grips are tough and comfortable. Braking performance comes from reliable front and rear V brakes with reach adjustable levers for smaller hands.
