William Morris At Home Lodden 100% Cotton Filled Cushion - Blue - Size 50 x 50 cm

55 GBP

William Morris had a great admiration for rivers, from the humble stream that passed by Kelmscott Manor to the great River Wandle that he used to dye his textiles at Merton Abbey. From 1883 Morris began designing a series of gently flowing patterns named after tributaries of the river Thames. The 'Lodden' pattern is part of this series, named after the river Loddon, that flows through Berkshire and Hampshire. In rich deep blue and olive-green tones, the Lodden design is digitally printed onto a sophisticated linen-look base and has a complimentary plain, cotton-velvet reverse. This statement cushion is finished with a jewel-coloured blue fringing, for a luxurious touch. All cushions are filled with a luxuriously soft, recycled microfibre cushion inner that has been engineered to feel like feather, for a decadent, sink-in feeling Dry clean only Outer: 100% Cotton Filling: 100% Microfibre
